About us
Fashion Forum Africa (FFA) is a licenced charity and non-governmental organisation whose mandate is to research, catalogue, and document iconic African designers, fashion, and textiles.
We work with businesses, educational and cultural institutions, governmental organisations, and international agencies to preserve, conserve, and promote African fashion heritage and culture globally.
We also seek to connect people with resources, education and opportunities in the fashion business community in Africa and the diaspora. FFA is associated with the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) Fashion Forum Ghana and African Fashion Forum, also registered as NGOs in Ghana.
Since the early 2000s, the NGOs Fashion Forum Ghana and Fashion Forum Africa have been working to promote Ghana’s art, culture, and heritage through its fashion textiles and design.
Recently, Fashion Forum Africa has contributed to the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum in London in their desire to bring to life the Africa Fashion Exhibition that opens on 2nd July 2022. Kofi Ansah’s presence in that exhibition is, in large part, due to Fashion Forum Africa.
The next several years promise to be exciting ones for FFA!
